HGV Class 1 Driver category C+E (Night Shift) / Workshop Assistant

We currently have an exciting position as an HGV Class 1 Driver C+E (Collection and Delivery) to work night shift in the fantastic team at our DAF Trucks dealership in Birtley.

The HGV Class 1 Driver / Workshop Assistant responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• This is a duel role - Collection / delivery of vehicles from / to customers within Birtley and the surrounding area. Ad hoc longer journeys to other Ford & Slater dealerships.
• Occasional road testing of vehicles (subject to licence restrictions).
• Steam cleaning Trucks.
• General Workshop caretaker duties when not driving.

Working Tuesday to Friday, 7pm – 7am.

Who are we looking for as our HGV Class 1 Driver / Workshop Assistant:

• You must hold a valid UK Class 1 licence category C+E (ideally clean).
• Be a customer focused individual with excellent communication skills.
• Any mechanical / workshop knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.
• PC Literate.
